I've got the 20Gig version, and other than the battery life I have no complaints. Mind, 8 hours battery life is plenty for my usage, as even the ferry home only takes 7 on a bad day.

I might just be tempted, 20gig is all I would need. :D 8 hours battery life doesn't seem a lot but tbh I don't travel more than 8 hours at one time anyway so probably a good option.

yeah, my brother has that 20 gigabite one, it does need charged a lot.

Same here Fudgie. I currently have 3000 mp3's :eek: I have put some onto CD but would rather get an iPod. :x

what exactly are mp3s? I know what an mp3 player is but not exactly how they work

An mp3 can be one song or you can have a whole album as one mp3, which is called an album wrap.

I have an mp3 player but not an iPod. The mp3 player I have holds 1000 songs on it.

I download a lot of music. ::lol::

My brother in law got an ipod shuffle from Tottenham Court Road soon as they came out. Very cute and handy but it has no display or anything :-? I would go for a similar product in another brand that is more practical and probably cheaper in price.
I still love my ipod though :D After all this time I'm still not tired of it. Got my iTrip now aswell so I don't even need cd's in the car.
There are so many lovely things you can buy for it. It's the new barbie doll of the millenium.

An I-Pod is second on my list after a new car, I have countless mp3's and to have them portable will be so cool.Not sure which one to go for yet but a mini with 4gbs is not up to the job.

Reckon those who bought the original when they first came out 2 years ago is sitting on a very collectable bit of kit in a few years time, much like the first Sony Walkman.
