She's richer than Delia Smith, The Queen and Madonna put together and her fortune actually grew when she was jailed for five months last year following a financial scandal.
As Campbell tries to understand the chintzy death-grip Martha has on the US public, he rents a home in a trailer park with unrivalled views of her prison grounds in Alderson, West Virginia. And speaking to her friends and colleagues he discovers that - surprise, surprise - her life isn't the perfect potpourri-scented fantasy she has spun.
There's a lot of Me and not much Martha and I'm sure we'll see lots more of Campbell in the future. But I also predict (and hope) that the BBC will be flooded with complaints after he kills an innocent chicken just to make a rather smarmy point about fresh ingredients.
