Jim Bowen In Hospital

Former Bullseye presenter Jim Bowen is in hospital after suffering a mild stroke.

Bowen, 73, who fronted Bullseye for 15 years, is recovering at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary in Lancashire.

A family spokesperson said: "He's settled and working hard with physiotherapists and the rest of the team."

Bowen's wife, Phyllis, told the Manchester Evening News: "He has had physiotherapy and we have high hopes for him.

"I can't say how long it will take, as these things do take time... He is doing okay and they are looking after him well."

It is thought that Bowen, who rose to fame on ITV talent showcase The Comedians after honing his act in pubs and clubs in northern England, was taken ill on the early hours of Friday.

Brian McFadden and Delta Goodrem announce split

Former Westlife singer, Brian McFadden, and his fiancee, Delta Goodrem, have announced they have split up.

The couple were together for over 6 years but released an official statement confirming they had mutually agreed to end their relationship.

They told fans: "This decision has been made with a lot of soul searching from both parties with the realisation that they have grown apart."

Brian and Delta met in 2004 when he asked her to duet with him on the song Almost Here.

The pair have recently spent an increasing amount of time apart, with Delta recording her new album in Los Angeles, while Brian has been a judge on the show Australia's Got Talent.
