Archaeologists Alex Langlands and Peter Ginn team up with historian Ruth Goodman as they move to Morwellham Quay in Devon and try to take the port - once one of Britain's busiest - back to life as it was during its Edwardian heyday. They begin by setting up home in a cottage as they wait for the arrival of their first livestock, and set out to prepare the ground for cropping by making tonnes of quicklime fertiliser to neutralise the acidity of the soil.
