Madagascar - 1/3, series 1
BBC2, Wednesday 09 February - 8:00pm - 9:00pm David Attenborough narrates the story of one of the most intriguing places on Earth, a huge island of dramatic landscapes and spectacular wildlife. Tonight's stars are lemurs, Madagascar's primates. A family of indris leap like gymnasts among rainforest trees; crowned lemurs scamper about the razor-sharp limestone tsingy; and sifakas (ghostly white lemurs) move like ballerinas across the forest floor. Other amazing creatures include bright red giraffe-necked weevils, pygmy chameleons and the fearsome fossa, the island's only large mammal predator.
