Colonel Tim Collins, whose speech on the eve of the invasion of Iraq in 2003 brought him to the public eye, meets the soldiers who find that their frontline experience counts for little when they return home. In a Panorama special, Collins visits a former soldier who's spent much of the past six years either on the streets or in jail. He meets veterans who fear for their sanity as they suffer flashbacks, night terrors and violent outbursts, and talks to those who struggle to cope with the family members who went to war, only to come home as strangers.
