Springwatch Easter Special 2011
BBC2, Monday 25 April 8:00pm - 9:00pm
What better time to relax and to take stock of the joys of spring with Kate Humble, Chris Packham and Martin Hughes-Games in a one-off Springwatch special? Packham investigates the science, wondering what exactly it is that triggers such activity in British wildlife, Hughes-Games wanders around the Hampshire parish of Selborne to examine the life of 18th-century vicar Gilbert White, the first "springwatcher", while Humble invites us to join her on a walk around her lovely new home in the Wye Valley, when she will give us tips on spotting signs of spring. Bill Oddie returns to expound his passion for birdwatching and of course there is a big interactive element, so we will all be encouraged to join in with the Springwatch survey.
