American Nomads BBC4, Monday 28th Nov 10pm - 11:30pm Repeat BBC HD Wed 30 Nov 10pm Repeat BBC4 Thu 1 Dec 1am What could be more apt than travelling to meet travellers? British writer Richard Grant’s slice of Americana is a visually enticing road movie, meeting people who won’t stop moving. Curiously, the largest tribe of modern nomads are retired people in luxurious Recreational Vehicles, but they’re not all RVers; there are drifters, preachers, runaways and anarchists to meet. It’s an undemanding stroll along the margins. Some might say it lacks focus, but its rolling, random viewpoint has a charm of its own.
