Former EastEnder Joins This Morning

Former EastEnders actress Pam St Clement has signed up to be a guest presenter on ITV's This Morning.

The soap legend is joining the show as an animal expert and was delighted to reveal the news about her new role.

She said: "I'm thrilled to be part of such a big show like This Morning. It's a wonderful opportunity to present animal items like I have in the past and to spread my presenting wings again. The team are fantastic and I'm truly excited to start a role I feel so passionate about."

Producer Karl Newton revealed that he was one of many who cried when Pat passed away in Eastenders on New Year's Day, but knows that otherwise he would not have had her on the show.

On her appointment he said: "I cried when Pam left EastEnders but now I'm so excited that she'll be joining us at This Morning.

"Pam's passion for animal welfare is unrivalled and her work with animal charities really makes a difference."
