Let's Dance For Sport Relief

The BBC has today announced the latest batch of contestants for Let's Dance For Sport Relief, which kicks off on February 18.

Joining this year’s roll call are: Former England cricketer Darren Gough; actor and comedian MIles Jupp; Former Olympic athlete Fatima Whitbread and comedy group The Cuban Brothers; Tracey Beaker actress Dani Harmer and Outnumbered star Tyger Drew-Honey.

Stars already limbering up for the show, hosted by Steve Jones and Alex Jones, are Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards, Amy Childs & Harry Derbridge; Angelos Epithemiou & Ulrika Jonsson; Ava Vidal; Terry Alderton; Arabella Weir; Tony Blackburn & David Hamilton; Scott Mills & Olly Murs; Omid Djalili; Watson & Oliver; Laurie Brett & Tameka Empson; Patrick Monahan; and Rowland Rivron.

This year will see the acts (a mix of solo dancers, duos and groups) compete over five weeks, with four heats culminating in a spectacular final on Saturday March 17.

Celebrities will perform iconic dance routines in front of a live studio audience and performances will be reviewed by a panel of three judges, made up of comedians, some of whom were former contestants.

The panel of three, together with the viewers will vote for their favourite two acts to go through to the final in week five when the final eight will dance with the hope of being crowned Let’s Dance champion 2012.
