Brit Awards 2013
ITV, STV, UTV, Wednesday 20th Feb 8pm - 10:15pm
Repeat: ITV+1 Today 9pm
Repeat: ITV2 Sat 23 Feb 11:10am James Corden hosts from the O2 Arena in London, as the British music industry celebrates the most lucrative artists of the past 12 months. For much of 2012, Emeli Sandé was impossible to avoid: her performances at the Olympic Opening and Closing Ceremonies, not to mention the final of The X Factor and numerous other high-profile gigs, had the desired effect and made Our Version of Events the biggest-selling LP of the year. She’s here to perform and, almost certainly, pick up awards for best album and best female solo artist.
Also playing live are more-is-more rockers Muse, likely best male solo artist winner Ben Howard and the recently re-animated Robbie Williams. Gracing us with some American glamour is Justin Timberlake – and Taylor Swift, who risks running into her high-profile ex (or is he?) Harry Styles, since One Direction are on the bill too. Expect the backstage gossip to focus on them.
Star-studded music ceremony live from London's O2, hosted by James Corden, featuring performances by Justin Timberlake, Robbie Williams, Muse, One Direction, Taylor Swift and Emeli Sande. Emeli leads the way with four nominations, followed by Mumford & Sons, Rita Ora and Mercury Prize winners Alt-J with three apiece. Others hoping to be honoured include Jessie Ware, Ben Howard, Rihanna, Olly Murs, Jake Bugg and Coldplay, plus Adele for her James Bond theme Skyfall. Amy Winehouse, whose album Lioness: Hidden Treasures was released after her death, is in the running for best British Female, while Plan B and Paloma Faith are among the acts battling it out for British Album of the Year.
