MOBO Awards 2013 - Live

BBC Three: Sat 19th Oct Today
9pm - 11:05pm

With Emeli Sandé taking home three awards in 2012 and Jessie J scooping an impressive four in 2011, British women have been the toast of the Mobos in recent years. It’s a trend that could be set to continue with the eerily soulful Laura Mvula up for four gongs and performing at this year’s ceremony. Hot on her heels are electronic heavyweights Rudimental and Disclosure, with three nominations each.

It’s been 18 years since the Mobos were launched to celebrate music of black and urban origin and, broadcast from Glasgow, this year’s ceremony promises performances from the industry’s brightest stars including Tinie Tempah, Iggy Azalea and a much-touted reunion of South London grime royalty So Solid Crew.
