This documentary, the first of three programmes in the Live from Space season made in collaboration with Nasa, explores what it is like to live and work outside Earth's atmosphere for months at a time. Astronauts Rick Mastracchio, Koichi Wakata and Mike Hopkins talk to their wives back home, reveal the effects of microgravity on their bodies and demonstrate how their environment affects the way they approach day-to-day tasks such as eating, sleeping and washing.
