As Atlantis rises from the sea and fish fall from the sky, Aziraphale and Crowley race to the idyllic village of Lower Tadfield in an effort to thwart a most inconvenient Armageddon. However, would-be Witchfinder Newton Pulsifer, the Four Horsepersons of the Apocalypse and various infernal forces are all heading there too, and it seems the fate of the world lies squarely on the shoulders of the 11-year-old reluctant antichrist Adam Young.
