Bet's boyfriend has a heart attack when his greedy son turns up at he church door to stop his father marrying Bet. He calls her a 'money grabbing harlot'!.
His father gets so upset and tries to tell his son he knows about the photo of Bet and Jim kissing and that it has all been sorted out. The son lays into his father again caling him a fool, among other things.
Ashley, Laura and baby are playing happy families on their little boat when they find themself drifting further then they expected from the shore,with no phone, paddle or wellies. Luck would have it Jim and Liz are about to pass them on Bet's soon to be dead boyfriends boat to escape to Ireland.
Liz sees the boat and being a woman realises the people on board are in trouble, she gets Jim to turn back to help rescue the people and are shocked to see it's Ashley. Jim and Liz are arrested when they reach shore and bundled into police cars with Jim shouting in his strong northren Ireland accent! 'My wife had nothing to do with this I made her come with me'.
Deirdre convinced Bev to allow her to check out her date with Jon Lindsay to make sure he wasn't who she thought he might be. Bev, allowed her to come to the restuarant to check him out. Deirdre was late getting to the restuarant and Bev's date was not pleased with her excuses to delay their dinner any longer. When Deirdre turned, up Bev was all a quiver with nerves at Deirdre's no-show. Deirdre eventually turned up and was happy to confirme to Bev, it wasn't her ex. Jon then confirmed to Bev, he was
her ex because it didn't look like they were going to get along.
