Now is the time to say goodbye. After a triumphant decade, Frasier, Friends and Sex and the City are all, by sheer coincidence, starting their final series on British screens in the space of nine days. The Friends gang will return for one last feature-length hurrah before Christmas, but otherwise this is the last time we will step into the lives of Rachel and Joey, Daphne and Niles, Carrie and Miranda, et al. For the shows' millions of devoted fans, who know these characters intimately and completely, it will be a sad wrench.
