In a poll by Q magazine.
The Sex Pistols' Anarchy In The UK as been named the most influential record of the 1970s.

Not for me it wasn't. I was never into Punk. I did like 'Anarchy In The UK' but would never have picked it over:

Get It On by T Rex,.
Paranoid by Black Sabbath.
I'm Not In Love by 10cc.
Autobahn by Kraftwerk.
Blitzkrieg Bop by The Ramones.
Le Freak by Chic . Ananova

Thanks Madeline :D

I was in to punk big time, so it was pretty influential to me, though at the time, of course, I liked Sid Vicous better than Jonny Rotton ;)

hard to argue with "Anarchy", topping the chart. ()^
.....the influence of the record and the band that made it,
is everywhere - in fashion, music and all aspects of todays
youth culture. ()^
