The 14th Big Brother 3 housemate has walked through the doors of the Channel Four house - to find no one there to greet him.
The other contestants were still in the garden putting the finishing touches to their "Welcome to our House" song, after Big Brother earlier provided them with musical instruments including a guitar, tambourine, recorder and didgeridoo.
Tim was also able to bring in a surprise treat for his new housemates - a choice of four films for them to watch later in the evening.
After the initial fun and games, Tim's arrival soon caused divisions when the other eight had to vote to decide which side of the house he should live on for the first week - rich or poor.
He was given the rich side, but within the hour, ex-model Alex began to stir things up by letting slip that the vote had not been unanimous.
The pair were forging a new friendship, being the only men on the rich side of the house, and after discovering they had both lived in Hong Kong.
The 23-year-old newcomer from Worcester did his best to curry favour with the other men in the house, PJ and Spencer, by promising to let them know about England's World Cup success "in a few days when I get to know you better".
Tim, a recent graduate in Business Finance from Durham University, is a qualified tennis coach, and went to a fee-paying boarding school.
He is exempt from eviction this week, and, along with Jade, will not be allowed to nominate the others for eviction either
