Actress Su Pollard has slammed reality television, claiming shows like Big Brother mean talentless people can land acting roles!

Bog Off Sue.........It's not like she wouldn't have done BB or Pop Idol if they had been around in her day.

Mmmmm me thinks that perhaps Su is short of work!!!

There is a lot of bad feeling towards people from the bb shows etc coming in and taking jobs from those that have worked hard and tread the boards . You can understand how they feel.

I do have sympathy with them.

I can understand why they would feel slighted.

I accept the point that you are making. In defence of Reality TV contestants accepting parts in pantos etc ... if they can pull in the crowds and help to make a particular production a success that does help to create acting jobs as well as provide a valuable source of income to regional theatres.

At the end of the day the BB lot get the parts because they can successfully put bums on seats.

She can talk! I remember her on Pebble Mill singing some song 'starting together'...don't know how it did in the charts?
Oh and she was the voice of Penny Crayon if memory serves.

She does have a point, but who is she to say Pop Idol shouldn't be allowed? They know what to expect from the judges by now....and anyway...Hi-De Bloody-Hi should never have been allowed...they never gave a second thought to poor sods called Heidi.
