RTE is planning a Big Brother-style celebrity reality show to raise funds for the People in Need Telethon.
The show, which will be screened for a week in May on the national station, will feature a group of personalities living in a house in Dublin from where they will broadcast their own radio shows.
A number of celebrities have been approached to take part in the show but have been sworn to secrecy until the programme is officially announced. They will be evicted one by one by public vote with the winner expected to be announced on telethon on May 21. The triumphant celebrity will secure a large sum of money for charity.
