Big Brother has had to prompt many of the housemates to elaborate on the reasons their eviction nominations.

The contestants were called to the diary room one by one this afternoon to make their first round of nominations.

They were told that if they fail to provide "adequate" reasons for their two choices they will receive an official warning.

A change in rules this year means the housemates cannot get away with giving poor excuses for who they choose to leave.

Gathering on the sofa after, many of the housemates said Big Brother had asked them elaborate on their reasons.

They all admitted to being tense and nervous about the first round of nominations and agreed it was an unpleasant task.

The two housemates up for eviction on Friday will be announced tomorrow.
