EAST Devon's Big Brother teenagers, who were locked in Honiton Young People's Centre for 48 hours have come out with a whole set of new skills.
Caroline Ellis, 14, from Axminster, was one of the 16, took part to raise money for youth centre equipment. They raised more then £1,000.
Among the challenges were learning basic sign language, attempting to complete a puzzle originally used on the Big Brother II TV series and producing a DVD of their experiences.
Caroline, of Cridlake, said: "It was quite a challenge to be away from the world.
"When we went in we had our mobile phones and MP3 players taken away.
"One person did try to sneak their phone in but they were punished by having to wear a pink gown for the cameras when we left at the end."
She said on the first night they did not go to sleep until 4am but youth workers got their own back by waking them again at 6am.
The theme of the weekend was communication, with the youngsters learning sign language as part of the challenge.
