According to the People newspaper, Jade could lose the sight in one eye after accidentally stabbing herself with a pair of scissors. She managed to call her boyfriend on her mobile, who rushed her to hospital.

The doctors there thought the injury was so bad that she was rushed to one of London's top eye hospitals for emergency treatment and since the injury has had to wear an eye patch.
