The 'Big Brother' television series is appalling and only suited for very bored viewers, the Dail heard yesterday.

Fine Gael TD Bernard Durkan told a debate on broadcasting that he couldn't understand why anybody watched the popular Channel 4 reality TV show.

"To my mind, you would need to be very, very bored to spend any considerable time, other than a flick, looking at that kind of thing on television,'' he said. "I think it is appalling.''

I wondered if you'd feature this story, JimD - I know little gets by you.

Heard the guy in question being grilled on a radio show this afternoon. He REALLY doesn't like reality t.v. ::lol::
