Taken from an article in the Sun online:-

In May Davina will host a new series of Big Brother and says: “As soon as I was asked to do it I knew I had to.

“I love fly-on-the-wall programmes and I’m obsessed with Big Brother.

“I love watching them all sleep. I was especially fascinated with Melinda Messenger when she was asleep and I just had this feeling about the show.

“I didn’t like the cage aspect that was in last year’s Big Brother house, so I don’t know if that will be in this year.

“But I think Big Brother will run and run for years. It has that timeless quality about it, and each year you win over a new generation of fans.

“I loved the fact that Jade Goody managed to turn it all round when she was in the house. She was so hated initially after Graham Norton called her a pig and I felt sorry for her.

“I always support the underdog but I genuinely worried about her state of mind. It was just so fantastic that she was right there until the end and she got an amazing reception when she came out of the house.

“But my all-time favourite character has to be Brian Dowling. He was fantastic and I’m delighted that he’s doing so well on TV now.”
