Spencer decided to deal with his Big Brother nomination by playing darts on his own.

He greeted the news by saying: "Woo!" in an unenthusiastic voice.

Alex seemed more philosophical about the announcement and was hugged by Adele.

He said: "Oh well, at least like the first week I knew it was going to be me."

The announcement was made after the housemates were told to remove their sunglasses and hats.

A pensive Spencer sat on his own in the garden for a while before being joined by Adele and PJ.

Adele said: "Spence, I don't know what to say, I just wanna say sorry."

He said: "It's OK. It's just down to Joe Public now.

"I'm doing the textbook 'Wondering what I've done wrong' thing now."

But Adele said: "You might not have done anything wrong."
