Jade's mum says gaffes run in the family.
The Big Brother housemate has a reputation for dropping clangers like not knowing what asparagus is.
Her mum Jackie admits she makes just as many boobs.
"The same day that she was talking about asparagus, I didn't know what an artichoke was," she told GMTV.
But Jackie added: "She's not as thick as she is. She talks too much, too fast and has no time to think."
She also said she was amazed at how much Jade is drinking, as she normally only drinks when she has a girls' night out or a glass of wine for Sunday dinner.
