Monday 30th May
Mary is celebrating her 31st birthday in the BB house today. The housemates sang Happy Birthday to her: She got plenty of hugs and kind words from the other housemates.........Anthony told her she looked great for her age, he said: "You certainly don't look your age"
It was Craig's turn to shed a few tears last night.
He told Roberto: "I don't know what's wrong with me,If people are trying to wear me down, they are succeeding."
Makosi told him:"People will make you feel like a t**t,"
Craig told them some of the housemates didn't want to speak to him and didn't thank him when he did chores. In tears He said:
"I've spoken to people and halfway through the conversation they've looked away" He also said there were people who told him they wouldn't associate with him "on the outside".
Makosi asked him who had said that to him.
"A couple," he wimpered. "Do you want me to go sit on them?" asked Makosi. Roberto reassured him that all the housemates would be feeling a little anxious and that none of the housemates was reluctant to talk to him.
"Maxwell laughing at Roberto's nail varnish has sparked a discussion about vanity.
"I just thought it would look good with what I was wearing... that skirt I had on," said Roberto in defence.
"Any bloke I saw who had their nails like that in the outside world, I'd immediately think was gay," Anthony offered. But Craig was quick to point out Anthony's vest.
"That vest is a bit camp," said Craig.
"That's a bit gay, not camp," added Roberto, who went on to say he had no problem with his image.
"I could dress up in a mini skirt and go out in London, I don't give a s***. People look at me and say I'm vain but that's not true."
Craig believes it's about being self-conscious.
"If people weren't self conscious they wouldn't get their hair cut. When you want to look a certain way it's vanity," said the salon owner.
"But you're a good looking guy and it's always the good looking ones that get called vain," said Anthony to Roberto, explaining further with his own analogy.
"If you have a s*** car you're not going to take much care of it, whereas if you've got a really good car you'll take care of it."
"So if you're ugly there's no point in being vain," laughed Maxwell.
Anthony persisted: "If I was ugly I wouldn't look after my appearance, but because I'm quite a good looking lad I'll take care of myself."
"Beauty on the inside is the important thing," Roberto pointed out sagely, but once again Maxwell had the final say: "Yeah, but you lucked out with both didn't you, you lucky b******!""
