With 60% of the vote, Mary has become the first housemate to leave the Big Brother house.
The group looked anxious when Davina announced the news, and some looked a little disturbed to hear boos from the crowd.
Whilst Craig was unable to hide his delight at staying in, the other housemates hugged Mary, telling her to enjoy her night.
Mary received a relatively good reception from the traditionally hostile crowd, although she explained to Davina that she had been extremely nervous, and was relieved not to have heard as many boos as she was expecting.
Mary was visibly shocked when she was shown footage of Makosi's "secret mission", and was "disappointed" to learn that her eviction was due to Makosi's solitary nomination. She was less surprised however, to hear that Saskia was the only one to nominate her in the actual nominations.
She described going on Big Brother as a time for "personal growth", and explained that she felt she had become more confident. Mary told Davina that she loved Kemal, and was also full of praise for Science, who she described as "mature and intelligent."
Mary concluded that Big Brother had taught her not to judge books by their covers, and also to give new experiences a chance, referring to how she had felt like walking out within the first hour of entering the house a week ago.
Craig meanwhile, expressed his elation at not being evicted, by jumping into the pool fully clothed!
