According to the People online today, Channel 4 chiefs are whittling down the last 50 hopefuls to a final 10 for Big Brother 3, which starts on May 24.
According to an insider, one of the applicants who made it through the latter stages is in a wheelchair. Apparently, there were disabled people last year but they didn't make it through. It is much closer this time round. They said that if a contestant is thought interesting enough, they will be picked, regardless of whether they are disabled or not.
Obviously, if there is a wheelchair-bound house-mate, tasks and challenges will have to be adapted for him/her and extras will be added to the house.
