Big Brother 3 is to have 12 housemates instead of 10, and viewers will also be able to register their eviction votes by text message as well as via telephone and interactive TV.
Viewers will get the chance to see the contestants enter the house live on TV.
Also, Big Brother 3 housemates will not be given any clues as to England's fortunes in the World Cup, which kicks off in South Korea and Japan on May 31, with the final in Yokohama on June 30. They will not even be informed if England make it to the final.
Producers Endemol say the housemates' isolation from the outside world will once again be complete.
