The Diary Reports
Perhaps finally laying to rest that debate about ‘work-life balance’ is the latest revolutionary concept in niche programming, coming soon to a TV screen near you.
Now lawyers can pretend they are back in the office with just a flick of their remote control, thanks to the godsend that is Legal TV — the self-proclaimed "law firm in your living room".
The new channel launches on Sky later this month and will target "not only… legal professionals, but members of the public who have an interest in knowing their rights and understanding the British legal system".
Legal TV, which offers in-depth coverage of the latest legal developments in areas such as property, employment and personal injury, is based in Birmingham and has been badgering local firms to contribute.
Cranking up the excitement even further, a masterstroke of creative casting sees one weekly slot hosted by drill-voiced siren
Caroline ‘Caggie’ O’Shea
Yes, that Caggie O’Shea, whom The Diary is absolutely certain readers will remember from her low-key stint on the first UK series of annual yawn-fest Big Brother.
Clearly, producers felt her experience of all that bickering, back-biting and hogging the spotlight made ideal preparation for a career in the law, although whether her analysis of legal issues is as piercing as her nasal intonation remains to be seen.
