The parents of Big Brother's Alex say he won't carry out his threat to leave the house if he's not evicted on Friday.

But his mother Hannelore Sibley is upset at how stressed Alex appears to be.

She says he doesn't usually smoke or drink much.

She says he looks like he can't relax and she's unhappy he's not getting enough support from the housemates.

She told GMTV: "I feel distressed seeing him not being himself."

Alex has told Tim he doesn't want to stay in the house with the other contestants on his own.

His father Richard said evictions are the "name of the game" and compared Big Brother to the "Christians and the lions."

He says he wouldn't mind if Alex did leave through the back door.

Alex has told Tim: "I told Big Brother that I'm just not happy in here any more. They have told me there is only a week left and I should wait, but I'm worried about how my parents feel.

"People will think this has only happened because I've been nominated, but it's nothing to do with that. I just don't share anything in common with the people who may be left in here next week. I said to Big Brother, I'd rather die than talk to those three about this."
