Channel 4 could lose £100m grant

CHANNEL 4 faces financial disaster in the political backlash sparked by the Big Brother racism row.
The television company’s executives had hoped to secure up to £100million from ministers to help with digital switchover next year.
But MPs on all sides last night warned public subsidy hung in the balance and suggested executives “shot themselves in the foot” by failing to intervene over ratings-grabbing bullying of Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty, pictured.
