A PUB is locking a group of madcap regulars in the flat upstairs for three days while filming them taking part in various challenges – in the first-ever
Big Brother Public House!
Twenty-one contestants will enter the flat above Mrs Foreman’s Inn in Musselburgh next Friday, for a weekend of “tasks” which will be broadcast live on TVs in the bar below.
Pub landlord Jackie Brown, 49, had the brainwave of holdiing a spoof of the TV reality show Big Brother for charity – including regular evictions and a £150 winner’s prize.
He said: “I had an empty space upstairs and thought I should do something with it. We often watch the show in the bar so I reckoned if it’s that popular on TV it can be popular in a pub.”
The volunteer contestants – men and women aged from 18 to 50 – won’t be able to leave the two-bedroom flat unless they’re voted out in regular popularity polls among the watching pub regular downstairs.
