Lynne is the first housemate to be evicted from Big Brother 3.

She and Jade were nominated in a public phone vote.

Lynne was chosen to leave by the other nine contestants.

The housemates had not known one of them would be evicted tonight until Davina McCall told them.

They were open-mouthed when Davina revealed what was happening live on Channel 4.

Alison said: "That's tough, man."

The shocked housemates started singing: "One of us is going to be evicted, la la la la."

After being told the two housemates who had been nominated by viewers, the rest of the group were given just three minutes to decide who should be voted out.

They chose Lynne almost unanimously.

Kate went to the diary room to tell Big Brother they had chosen Lynne.

Lynne was told she had an hour to pack her bags.

She said she knew she would be the first to be evicted.

Jade burst into tears when the result was announced.

She and Lynne had been told to go into the boys' bedroom while the others were discussing their fat
