From the Media Guardian site ..........Channel 4's Mark Thompson said it would be a "significant moment" when the channel's reality show Big Brother had its first disabled contestant.
He said of 128 disabled applicants to this year's show, 25 had made it to the first shortlist and six to the second.
"Multiculturalism, from a perspective of ethnicity, has been part of Big Brother from the start," he said.
"It will be a significant moment when we have a disabled member of the Big Brother house. I believe it's going to happen. We will know we have won when it's not something we talk about."..........
