To sum up the various news reports. The HM's were evacuated from the house at 8:45pm on Friday due to a security alert. Initially they had been asked to stay in the boys bedroom as that was considered safest, but were then moved to another part of the Elstree site. Even the local Tesco was evacuated.
All live programming was suspended with production teams and eviction night visitors alike being taken off the site and kept at a safe distance.
A controlled explosion was made on a suspect package, which was found to be electrical equipment that had probably been there all along. A sniffer dog had raised the alarm, being trained in explosive substances. This was possibly due to pyrotechnics residue.
The housemates returned just after 1am, via the fire door in the boys room, to receive a picnic from BB. They stayed up very late, with Lisa and Ray talking in the dining area (actually, Lisa talking AT Ray most of the time), Scott, Cameron and Nush in the garden and the others heading for their bed at some point.
Because of all the excitement, BB did not turn on the lights and hot water at 9am on Saturday - Lisa was first up around noon, clearing up plates and pans from the night before.!
The eviction process has been put back to 9pm on Saturday (C4). Lines are still open for voting. The evicted HM will now be interviewed by Davina on the 10pm C4 show. The Saturday task has been put back (see update below)
The task this week it to 'race' robotic animals, the winner will then choose who will join them in the reward room which is decked out as an Irish pub. The 'bar' will be open from 11am to midnight for four days and all drinks are FREE. However (had to be a however), there are no spirits - it's all cans and bottles. Initially it was thought that the bitter twist (some kind of alcopop?) was to leave just one HM out of the room, and HM's would not be allowed to bring or pass things out. In the light of Friday's events BB may be re-thinking this, it would be a massive blow to one HM to be treated (or not) in that way.
The winner of the task will also be responsible for the house for the next week - making their three nominations alone. They would not vote for theirself but only the HM's they nominate would be up for the vote. The 'head of house' (as some have decided it should be called) will also decide what shopping to buy and will be given other duties by BB during the week. There will be no ongoing task (Sun-Wed) this week.

Day 44, 1:05pm - Finally BB turns on the lights and announces the hot water is on for one hour. Steph first in the bathroom, Cameron heads for the sofa's to wait his turn. Lisa had gone back to bed.
