They are all over age so this isnt about the fact that it would be underage drinking, they can hardly say it would set a bad image for younger viewers after introducing some amazingly obvious stereotypes, 2 kids who barely know each other having sex, religious beliefs that are so staunch that they border on offending half the nation and all the swearing and fights.

Perhaps we dont need the booze as we have enough action already, there would be blood, guts and morning after pills galore as well as a few stomach pumps needed if booze was introduced, but I say...To Hell With It...in for a penny in for a pound get em all sloshed!

.....Endermol would have been accused of all sorts,
(exploitation, child-abuse etc etc), if they had done that. :-?
You can guarantee it was looked into and they were advised against going down that particular path. :-?
.....and anyway, alcohol, is no guarantee for wild orgies and over-endulgement.
.....checkout BB4 "highlights" - (if you're feeling a masochist.) :-?

They are not old enough to cope, they don't know their limits yet, BB would have ended up with a lot of sick, hungover puppies, and maybe even a couple with alcohol poinsoning, I wouldnt recommend it, perhaps for one night, a selected amount of alcohol per person, but no more. I have had to look after drunk students in the past, not a pleasant experience.

But as I said, it can hardly be seen as less exploitative as showing two teenagers having sex?

At the end of the day in the eyes of the law, these are adults.

Alcohol poisoning is quite serious, there is a lot of money spent on people each week because they end up in hospital after drinking too much. Could you imagine what it would be like with Paul if you were drunk?????

I hope they promoted safe sex in the house or that would not be good at all.

what Im saying is, that these kids work in bars, drink in bar, go clubbing, in the eyes of the law they are at the legal age to do that, why then think its unexceptable to show people that the law denotes as being old and responsible enough to drink by its own standards?
If anything this would have been a perfect way for endermol/C4 to show that age restiction on drinking should be revised. (not saying either way, personaly I think it should be lowered so that alcohol isnt such a big thing as in some european countries).

Jade couldnt handle her drink and she was older, she had to be warned but they still supplied drink and showed the actions of that stupid girl as she drank more and more.

BB4 housemates needed alcohol because they were so boring...these don't seem to need it. They would probably end up smashing each others heads through windows!

I agree that they dont seem to need it, but then niether did BB1 and 2 really. It certianly added soime classic moments to the show, my point it they are all over age and more than likely drink outside the house, why say they cant have any at all?

I see what you mean.I wondered the same..perhaps it's because they're worried that 18 year olds maybe can't handle their drink? :-?
Or maybe they were gonna let them have some if they got too boring?
Or perhaps as it was only for a week they didn't bother.

You never know if they did have drink they might be boring...just throwing up, calling each other names or crying 24/7.
It amazes me that 2 of them had nookie on TV without any alcohol involved :D

The thought of 'That' lot with booze would send the 'Management' into a state of shock and I think it would have become a bit violent.

they shudda issued alcohol i think but then again thats only my opinion, but they were the first ever couple to have sex on big brother, without alcohol so it just shows they have a lot of growing up to do if the older vesion that has bin running for four years, no one has done it with bucket loads of alcohol. jade n tommy mustnot have much respect for thereselves, or there families that will have to endure the embarrasment
