What can you do in 4 minutes 40 seconds? Why 4 minutes and 40seconds? Because that's how long the ad breaks are in BB4 and BBLB. Dermot may utter 'See you in 2' but in reality it's more than double that :-? .

Usually I tape BBLB and BB and F/Fwd all the ads and bits where they give out the 'Contact Us' and 'Send Us More Money by Text Polling' details. You can watch a 'half-hour' advertised C4/E4/E5 (E4+1) programme in around 20 minutes this way. That's one hell of a timesaver when you think how many programmes you may watch. I don't know any other channel that is so overtly commercial in its broadcasts.

Anyway, in 4 mins 40 seconds I have managed to have a shower. I can also boil a kettle and make myself a drink. Water my plants. Load the dishwasher. Empty the tumble dryer. What else could you do?

Thought this was about Mark Owen's new single 4 Minute Warning which is, btw, FANTASTIC! ()^

Um....I can do lots of things too in 4 mins {@} but if I was watching telly then really, I scan all the other channels til the ad break was over

Perfect amount of time to uncork a bottle wine, pour yourself a nice big glass, take some cheese out of the fride and put on some cracker, sit down have a taste of each and then the show starts...

You repeat in every ad break after btw ;)

I'd spend 4 mins 40 beating up Cynical-clare, because Dermot is clearly mine....
