I watched the last episoid of SpaceCadets l dont know if anyone else saw it Its not why I thought of my name spacecadet I like SF and space stuff. Well I thought it was funny. Lucky them to get 25000 and a free holiday in Russia. Worth it? Yes I thought

Umm.. I'd have to be paid to take a vacation in Russia We're so close to the border here, and we see and here a lot.. I just wouldn't want to go there.

why not? I know russia is cold but if you live close then it cant be the weather. Id love a holiday in Russia. Why dont you want to visit? I didnt know Finland was close to russia. Im not good at geography (or annything really!)

If you only went for the space center, then it might be interesting. Finlad is right next to Russia, the whole of our eastern border is joined with it. We've had our wars with Russia on the past century (we used to be a part of Russia in the past, became independent on 1917 after the war and lost some of our areas to them later at the 1940's) and the echos of the battles still excist amongst the finnish people. I don't know that much about it though, I'm too young to know more about it than what I've learned from others. I've been to Estonia, which up untill -91 has had it's troubles with Russia, and the russian culture is still very visible there even though Estonia is a member of the EU and is becoming more western. I don't like Estonia much eather. You can still sence Russia there, obviously, and it bothers me.

It's really hard to explain really; People aren't well in Russia today. The gap between the rich and the poor is huge and a lot of the people are poor. Many people live in inhumane circumstances. There are constant battles going on in different parts of russia as small parts of the country are fighting for their independence and terror is a part of every day life in certain parts of the country. Corruption happens all the time and crime flourishes. I don't want to see all that, even though I'm sure there are good and beautiful things in Russia, too. For me it's more of a feeling than knowlege. The culture is so different, and not to my liking at all. All this is, of course, just my oppinion and my view on things. I'm not saying I'm right, just how I see this.
