1. Mother & sister as Dad doesn't want to be with my mum at any point which will then make me guilty as he'll no doubt be on his own at home watching TV.

2. Turkey, mashed potatoes, couple of roast potatoes, yorkshire pudding, gravy (northern boys love gravy and maybe a few carrots.

3. In my own bed no doubt

4. I've spent in the region of £175 which is approximately £174 more than I have for the day in presents.

1. With my husband, kids and in-laws.

2) Turkey, at least 12 different sorts of vegetable and the usual suspects in the way of trimmings. I will not be eating anything with mixed fruit in it though :D

3) Evening at the in-laws, home in a taxi around midnight.

4) Hmm. Tough question. I think my present spend is about £600 all in, but I have a LOT of people to buy for and I dont have to spend a lot on food because we dont eat at home. However, Im having a NY Eve shindig this year so I'll have a small spend on that. Dont know if it counts as its not Xmas, but about £80 for that I would imagine.

Trees Not Family, Danke

All I Want For Xmas Is A Tree And Not Kids Or Mum-In-Law

Most Germans say they would rather have a Christmas tree than spend time with their families during the festive season.

A new survey found 75% of Germans could not contemplate Christmas without their beloved "Tannenbaum".

That is the traditional tree many cover lavishly with candles, lights and decorations.

The modern tradition of Christmas trees originated in Germany and was brought to England by Prince Albert in the 19th century.

In the German survey, only 65% said spending time with relatives was also essential for a good Christmas.

Singing carols was the next most vital ingredient, with 57% saying they could not do without them.

Some 42% said Christmas would not be Christmas without presents.

Who The usual gang, partner, daughter, sister, nephew and sister's partner.

What

starter - Stuffed tomato.

Main - course: Beef and Ham, roast potato/carrot/parsnip brussel sprouts/chestnut, stuffing and if we can still face any more food, trifle for desert.

Where will you end up Christmas night?

In my own bed.

How much will the one day cost you?

£300 for the lot. I swore this year I was going to keep the cost down and I have been really good and have not let myself get carried away spending too much money on crap I do not need.
