I love Christmas - but that's because of my Family Traditions! :D It's Childrens Festival Celebration, but it's also a Family Celebration for me. From my hb's Family - I haven't ever heard them enjoying Christmas this much (always having their father renovating until it's Christmas eve, Santa was really scary and the male persons in the House were drunk and scary - they lived mostly on a farm where they had cows and many generations living together, but he has spend a lot of time by/on the sea as well) and he just loves my Family's Christmas Traditions and is with joy making these traditions alive to our children. We eat, drink, sing and listen to music that someone plays, play party games, have sauna, chat until it's really late night or early morning hours, play with children, have Santa visiting children, open presents together and lots of more things to do together during the Christmas Days!

And I do have Christmas stockings to my Children (they found them full already this morning), I bought them couple of years ago and they are huge and thanks to all of you, they are filled in a traditional British way! ;) It's much more easier to them to wait until it's Christmas eve and time to have Santa visiting them.

Merry Christmas to you all and Happy New Year!

Aww Mari that's so beautiful! We just watched Snowman and are now about to head up to the graveyard to light a bunch of candles. Once again, I wish you all exactly the kind of Christmas you desire!!

I was just saying to my sister today how many good memories we have of Christmas past. When we were young there was not a lot of money for pressies but our mom and dad always made sure we got what we put in our letter to Santa. There was always plenty food and drink and a Christmas night party/hooley that our family would celebrate with our neighbours. :drink: :drink: :drink:

I do feel sad when I think of the homeless, people in hospital and families that are upset over the Christmas holiday for one thing or another. I dare not let my thoughts wonder to other parts of the world where there is war and famine going on as we tuck into the food/dtink on offer and thank each other for the lovely gifts we recieved.

All that aside, Christmas is one of my favourite times of the year and I will do my best to enjoy it.
