Has anybody else had there renewal notices recently ?
I had mine the other day and it's gone up by about a third !
And that's after the 67% no-claims plus another 7% for something or other. In real money it translates to around £80 extra making this years figure the highest ever.

I've been with the same insurer since my first motorbike back in the 80's and in the past they have always worked out the best. The car's only a 1300 Fiesta so it's not like it's anything special. I know the group is the highest ,I think ,for a non-Zetec though it has no more performance than a basic 1.3 Metro ! In fact I can insure a Mini with a MG Metro 1275 engine for less and when your talking 80 some thing horse power in a Mini you are talking very sporty.

Back to the original question has anybody else notice big increases in the premiums ?

Mine is due any day now, so I'll let you know.

Think I'll be changing insurers this time - have found it cheaper I think. I'm expecting something around the £420 mark.

A quote off The AA website proved much cheaper. TPFT was £60 less with protected no claims. And I can go full comp for £20 less than CIS want for TPFT !
Looks like a defection is on the cards.

God I hate car insurance, since i stupidly bought a BMW M3 a few tears ago and had it stolen Ive never been able to catch up. the next car was stolen from outside here and its replacement kinda caught fire when the fuel injection systems went wacky, as a result I have 3rd party no fire or theft car ensurance on any wreck I can get an MOT on .

Oh try Churchills

Well the temptation to get the bike out of the garage is getting more tempting. It's just the time it'll take to get the fitness level back to cope with all the steep hills in the 5 miles to and from work that's the off putting bit. I used to do this run for a few years some time back and became very fit but with age it gets harder to regain the fitness plus I've had two motorbike accidents since I last did the run so there might be a few muscles that might put up a bit more resistance this time.

Unfortunately insurance premiums will be going up in all areas...it comes with a society that thinks that every accident is someone else's fault and that they should claim for compensation.
