SAINSBURY'S, Tesco and Asda will pass on Alistair Darling's VAT reduction three days early.
Supermarket giant Tesco announced this morning it would slash prices hoping to cash in over the weekend by introducing the cut on Friday.

Sainsbury's followed suit just hours later announcing it would bring the cuts in early.

And Asda became the latest big name supermarket to join in on the deal.

Asda also promised a VAT holiday on electricals over this weekend.
