Hello....It snowed here, my kids are off school, as my youngest had an appointment with health visitor thingy, and my daughter felt ill, but miraculously made a recovery by 11am...and they're both outside making a snowman. I would go and help but I've got a bad cold and sore throat. Good job I kept them both off cos it took me about 20 minutes to get all the snow off my car and we would have been late.
I'm very bored and very cold.....so bored infact that I'm baking muffins!
I even started to give myself a nose job on Paint Shop Pro, but it all got a bit too hard and technical. I found an old cook book...I might make a Jam Roly Poly later. I'm not usually the baking type, but I'm soooooo bored.
What else can I talk about? hmmmmmm ${

Hey Jb  It took my Paul 2.5 hours to get home from Maida Vale last night. (Would usually take 20 mins) Apparently there were accidents left right and centre on all the mainroads. A friend of his had a fare from Archway to Fulham and it took 4 hours!

my 25 min train journey took 1 and a bit hours, and that was after getting on after it was delayed getting into victoria. We got qued out side clapham junction, reason, signal failed because of ice....WTF???

So there is no such thing as progress then after all, its getting worse every year and ummm how long have we been having winters in this country??? You would think they would have realised it might just happen again, and figure out how to stop everything ******* up!

:8o: :8o: :8o:

Dont start me on my journey in today!!!

I can imagine! The central line's still closed aswell.

Go out after work and get drunk and get a cab home....the roads should be clear and well gritted by then. I can give you the number of a decent taxi driver  lol

I had a complete s^^t journey in. I found out that the main road I use was closed due to ice, so i had to turn around, go back past my house and go on a route i didnt know. no warnings, no diversion signs, just 'ROAD CLOSED'!!!

I then went a different way and my journey took THREE hours, stuck in my car from half seven to half ten. I wasnt best pleased and i needed the toilet.

You would think for the amount of council tax we pay, that they could get the gritters out during the night.

dont be silly, that would make it look as if the Council actually think about things!! They reckon they were well prpared for it!!! Bollox they were, within about half an hour, we had two inches of snow, and blizzards all day!!! Four inches of snow in the end, so i did something productive and took some photys of the garden!!

and take money away from the war effort, you must be joking, rising prices for everything from stamps to ticket fares, but can you see any improvement??? No on your life!

How much for a cab from town to Crystal Palace HD? Could do with finding a decent cabbie ;)

It's about £25 depending on traffic, but many black cabs don't like doing Crystal Palace cos they don't find a return Journey! But having said that, if you hail one on the street they have to by law take you where you want to go as long as it's no more than a 12 mile radius from centre of London, or more than 1 hour away.
Paul says I really shouldn't tell people this though!
(also journeys further away than this, price should be aggreed in advance with the driver for a better deal)

I was watching the news and couldn't believe the M11 hold up! Sheesh at least our 7 hour jam was because of five feet snowdrifts! I'm still at home today cos a) the road is still not advisable and b) the schools are closed.
