Right here's my situation:
I have 2 very large sofa's of a burnt orangy colour. I want to dye them chocolate brown, BUT although I can fit the cusion covers in the washing machine, the covers that go over the base/arms/back are so big they never fit in machine and I have to take them to the launderette. Anyone know where i could get someone to dye them for me? Or do I have to try to find a launderette that doesn't have a Dot Cotton or Pauline Fowler there all day? I'm willing to pay to have it done cos I know it's a messy job if you do it in the bath. I've tried searching the net but all I come up with is how to do it in machine or bath I'm a bit scared to go do it in launderette incase I get told off!

Why don't you look in yellow pages for an launderette and ring them to ask if they allow you to do that ...that way you won't look a fool if they don't!

There's a place in Baker Street close to the station (on the Baker Street side) that will do it for you, next to sandwich bar called Croque Monsieur but make sure you take the cushion covers for them to do as well.
