http://www.photobucket.com looks a good place to store your images and link from.

You can still get a great picture with a compact digital. My old Olympus 720 produced to fantastic pictures and that was half the resolution of the Nikon.
Plus the 5MP Olympus Compact that I've always got in my pocket is great you just don't have the zoom of the big telephoto lens. Saying that it does have macro and super macro so it'll focus a lot closer ,to within a few cm ,so sometimes it goes some way to make up for it.

This is Ringstead Lakes which is open to the public with at least 10 miles of walking routes. Both myself and my mother took near identical pictures of this scene with totally different cameras. And with both thought it looked coastal but it's some where like 50 miles inland.

The one my mother uses is Olympus C-5000 Zoom which looks like yours but is 5 MP.

The one good thing with my old Olympus C-720 was the x8 optical zoom and that was also 3MP .As it said produced some really good pictures.

I only got the Digital SLR as I needed more control than the Olympus offered but that was due to what I wanted to use it for. For most people it would have more than covered what they needed.

Having just backed-up most of my photos I've just deleted over 1500 of them off the hard drive so have plenty of room for this summers photos.

Those photographs are so lovely, especially Larry's one with the bee in because I find them really pretty - it's like they dance.

Easiest way is to sign up with http://www.photobucket.com and upload the pictures on there first. They give you 1GB storage and they create the IMG line for you which you need to use to include the image in a post.

I tried Tripod but they aren't letting me direct link to them and I forgot my password to my QSL account so I couldn't use that server either. But photobucket offer more storage than I've found else where and is simple to use.

All my images are around 20% of their original size to make viewing easier without have to use the scrollbars to move the page about.
