Now I want one of them.

So much for my diet - thanks, Daiz

They are always the last ones in my tin, not too keen on nuts, but desperation makes me bite the chocolate off and spit the nut out.

Diets don't officially start until the first Monday of the new year!

I do that ::lol:: ::lol:: ::lol:: ::lol:: ::lol:: I dont like hazlenuts ::lol:: ::lol:: ::lol::

I had my hair long on one side ala Phil Oakey in my college days I developed a really irritating habit of blowing it out of my eye with one puff upwards. It really annoyed everyone including myself until I decided I looked like a complete moron and grew the short side out and had it evened up ::lol::

I agree. And I've been doing trojan work, trying to finish off the last of the Roses, the Port, the cream, the Christmas cake, the biscuits....it's been exhausting!

I did buy some celery, for tomorrow, though. :-?

I did the same thing and went to bed with heartburn! Well isn't a good New Year's Resolution to finish everything you start?

Got back on the Rosemary kick start today. Rode my new bike to work today only to get there in near floods of tears with painful bum bones and feeling like my thighs were going to burst. The journey only took 5 minutes less than if I had walked :-( Luckily the journey home was on a slight decline and the wind had died down. I'm still sitting on a cushion though and am certain my legs will pay the price tomorrow.
Unfortunately (or pretty damn fortunately) I have to take the car tomorrow as my son returns to school and to make the 2 journeys I'm afraid a car is essential. But I shall be doing aerobics every night this week bar Friday.

I lost over 2 and a half stone from September to early December - just from healthy eating and lots of walking (no diet, as such). I took a break from it all for Christmas - without going too mad, and have managed to keep fitting into my new clothes, lol.

Today was the return to work, and to healthier habits. NOT helped by the two huge tins of chocolates, box of Roses, chocolate biscuits and scones on display in the Staffroom - where we spent the day, as it was a training day. I managed only to give in to the scone, and went for a long walk after work. But I can tell January is going to be a long, hard month. GRRRRRR Why is everything nice bad for you??

What you need is a Gel seat ,you can get them from Argos and they are very good. I use one.

Well I'm definitely going to get one and shall never ride the blasted thing again until I do so. Legs today are fine, but my backside is another story.

Hehe, John - you're welcome to join us in the staffroom for around 15 minutes a day. Only problem is you then have to spend the rest of the day teaching kids!!

Thanks, btw. And I managed to stay off the temptation for another day, hehe!

You're a wonderful inspiration, Vagabond. At the moment, I'm at the stage of thinking about being good, perhaps the next step will actually to BE good.

Seriously, though, the fact that you shed the weight through healthy eating and exercise is fantastic - as it means you're far more likely to keep up your good habits.

I second that.

That's basically how Slimming World works. Lots of health eating and lots of it.
My mother has been a member for 12 years and a work colleague has recently joined and was amazed at the amount of food she was expected to eat. But more importantly it's working for her. She started swimming on a regular basis for her exercise .She has also given up smoking.

My only bad habit is chocolate ,I could eat it all day but with a bit of will power I can go months with buying any. But my teeth object to too much chocolate so it's a good reason to avoid it.

If anything I should eat more as I'm on the lower side of a healthy weight for my height. My brother who is the same height is 2 stone heavier but I get a lot more exercise than him.

Well done again.
