today in my PSE lesson with S4, we were discussing contraception, and what was most suitable for different people. we agreed that a condom was not only a good contraceptive, but was also the only way to prevent the spread of STIs as well.....so far so good
one bright spark at the back said: yeah Mrs Paton (they always marry me off) - it's best to use one if you're not sure eh cause it's not like you'd ask someone outright - have you got a disease?!
I nodded, and agreed that yes, most people would not ask that of a new partner, at least not straight away.
another not so bright spark at the from then said to me - have you ever slept with anyone?
I was SPEECHLESS (and for me this takes some doing)
however, it then transpired that what he had actually said was:
you could always ask them have you ever slept with anyone? I just hadn't heard the first bit

that I had even considered he would have asked me that, then we all fell about laughing for ages...
